Who We Are
Paper Plane Web Co ("we," "us," or "our") is an independent web design and development studio. We build websites, digital products, and online experiences for small businesses, startups, and creatives. Our principal place of business is in India.
What Data We Collect
We only collect information that helps us serve you or run our business.
Information you give us directly
- Your name, email address, and phone number when you contact us via our contact form or email
- Project details, brief, or requirements you share during an enquiry or discovery process
- Payment information — we do not store any of that
- Any content, materials, or files you share with us for the purpose of a project
Information collected automatically
- IP address and general location (country/city level)
- Browser type, operating system, and device type
- Pages visited, time on site, and traffic source via analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
Information from third parties
- If you contact us via social media (LinkedIn, Instagram), we may receive your public profile information as provided by those platforms
Your Rights
Under applicable data protection law (including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023), you have the following rights:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Deletion — request that we delete your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)

Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including:
- Encrypted email and file transfer
- Password-protected and access-controlled tools
- Using reputable, industry-standard third-party services with their own security certifications
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we do our best to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Intellectual Property
What you own
Upon receipt of final payment in full, you receive full ownership of the final deliverables specifically created for your project — your website design, custom graphics, and written copy produced by us for you.
What we retain
- Ownership of all preliminary concepts, drafts, and unused design directions
- Ownership of any pre-existing tools, frameworks, templates, libraries, or code components we developed independently
- The right to showcase your project in our portfolio and marketing materials, unless you request confidentiality in writing
Third-party assets
If your project includes licensed stock images, fonts, plugins, or third-party software, those assets are subject to their own licence terms. We will advise you of any licences you need to obtain.
Your content
You warrant that all content, logos, images, and materials you provide to us are either owned by you or that you have the rights to use them. You indemnify us against any claims arising from your content.
Warranties & Liability
We warrant that our work will be delivered with reasonable skill and care, and will conform to the agreed specification.
We are not liable for
- Third-party services or platforms (hosting providers, CMS platforms, payment gateways) that experience downtime or issues
- Loss of revenue, profits, or business opportunities arising from the project
- Issues caused by content, code, or changes made by you or third parties after handover
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability for any claim arising from a project shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for that project.
